The Society for Scientific Exploration is excited to launch MAVERICK Talks—a monthly, live, virtual platform where members can present works in progress, share emerging ideas, and receive constructive feedback from fellow explorers. Whether you're refining a methodology, testing a hypothesis, or grappling with a controversial topic, this is your space to engage, reflect, and grow.
Monthly Adventures Via Exploration, Revealing Inquiry, Curiosity, and Knowledge
These interactive sessions are designed to foster rigorous thinking, collaborative critique, and intellectual curiosity—hallmarks of SSE’s mission.
All SSE members are welcome to attend and contribute. Whether you're presenting or offering feedback, your voice matters.
MAVERICK talks are held via Zoom on the second Sunday of every month (when no quarterly webinar is scheduled) for one hour.
Start time:
- 5 PM Eastern
- 4 PM Central
- 3 PM Mountain
- 2 PM Pacific
Upcoming dates:
MAVERICK Talks are free for SSE members but you must register on the SSE website in advance to receive the Zoom link.
The announcement for each talk will contain registration information for that talk.
If you'd like to present your research in an upcoming MAVERICK Talk, please email the following materials to conference@scientificexploration.org with the subject line:
“SSE2025-2026 MAVERICK Talks — [Your Name]”
Deadline: Last day of the month before your intended presentation.
Required materials:
- Title of the presentation
- Name(s) and affiliation(s) of presenter(s)
- Contact email
- Synopsis (100–250 words)
- Biography (100 words maximum)
These materials will be shared with registered attendees and posted on SSE’s website unless the presenter requests otherwise.
